Wolfgang Eder has worked at voestalpine for over 40 years, 15 of which (2004 to 2019) were spent as Chairman of the Management Board. He was elected to the Supervisory Board in July 2019. Following an extended cooling-off period of almost three years, he now takes over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of this global steel and technology Group.
The company thanks Joachim Lemppenau for his achievements as Chairman of the Supervisory Board: “Joachim Lemppenau’s period of office was marked not only by important strategic and personnel decisions. Together with our employees, shareholders, and investors, it was also a particularly successful chapter in the company’s history. Today voestalpine enjoys an excellent global reputation amongst its customers and partners.” As a member of the Supervisory Board, Lemppenau’s services remain available to the company for his two remaining years of office. He concludes: “With Wolfgang Eder as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Herbert Eibensteiner as CEO of the Group, I know that voestalpine and its future are in very good hands.” The Supervisory Board’s current term of office comes to an end at the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
