Group Communications

Our Group Communications department is responsible for internal and external communication agendas of the voestalpine Group. Its key tasks include planning, coordinating, and executing Group topics and projects both inside and outside our Group.

The Group Communications department consists of the following sections:

  • Contact for national and international media contacts
  • Answering press queries and media management of the voestalpine AG’s Management Board
  • Implementation of all Group media activities in Austria and abroad, and those of the four Divisions and 500 Group companies and sites worldwide
  • Driving the internationalization strategy in the field of media relations on behalf of the voestalpine Group

Digital & Social Media Communications, Newsroom, MaCom

Digital & Social Media Communications focus on

  • Corporate Online & Social Media strategy for the voestalpine Group as well as for the 500 Group companies.
    Management of Group online platforms such as Corporate Website (, focus microsites (e.g. greentec steel) and Corporate Blog
  • Editorial planning and target group-specific preparation of content for all platforms and the Corporate Social Media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Online campaigns, search engine optimization
  • Employer branding as a central component in online communication
  • Social media listening and community management
  • Measurement & monitoring of all online & social media activities

Newsroom & MaCom

  • The Newsroom is an organization model for communications and functions as an information and content hub. It helps maintain, coordinate and integrate an overview of all planned and ongoing topics and activities, including all functions and channels.
  • The MaCom Structure is the voestalpine Group’s overarching marketing and communications organization, taking into account divisional requirements and interests.
