Pumps and high-pressure components require BÖHLER steels and alloys with high strength and corrosion resistance. Key quality features include ultra-clean materials, full traceability, controlled heat treatment, and rigorous testing for reliable oil & gas and CPI performance.
Pumps and high-pressure components in the oil & gas and Chemical Process Industry (CPI) are exposed to extreme operating conditions, including very high pressures, temperature variations, and aggressive media such as sour gases, hydrocarbons, and chemical process fluids. These demanding environments require materials with outstanding mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement. In addition, components must provide high fatigue resistance, dimensional stability, and reliable sealing performance over long service intervals under cyclic loading and pressure fluctuations.
BÖHLER high-performance steels and alloys are specifically engineered to meet these challenges. Advanced quenched and tempered steels, stainless steels (austenitic, duplex, and precipitation-hardened), and high-alloy nickel-based materials offer an optimized balance of strength, toughness, and resistance to corrosive and high-pressure environments. Produced using advanced melting and refining technologies, BÖHLER materials ensure exceptional cleanliness, low inclusion content, and homogeneous microstructures, significantly improving fatigue life and operational reliability. Key quality features include strict control of chemical composition, certified traceability, and precisely controlled heat treatment processes. Comprehensive testing, including pressure resistance, corrosion evaluation, and non-destructive inspection, ensures compliance with stringent oil & gas and CPI standards. BÖHLER materials enable safe, efficient, and long-lasting pump and high-pressure component solutions.
