SB Tram rail fastening system

The SB type rail fastening system for tram lines works with pre-stressed monoblock sleepers for R1, R2, 180S and 49E1 tram rails.

Rails laid on the surface of the rail pad between anchors (permanently sunk in the sleeper) are fastened with the SB4 rail clip (or interchangeably with other SB rail clips), which is connected to the anchor from one side and presses the top of the rail foot on the other side with a spring. In addition, the rail pad is placed under the foot to isolate it from the spring clip and anchored with an electrically insulated hold-down.

Technical aspects of the SB rail fastening system for tram lines:

  • Typical application - Tram lines
  • Axle load - max. 130 kN
  • Speed - ≤100km/h
  • High longitudinal rail resistance - min. 9kN
  • Electrical resistance ≥ 5 kΩ
  • Clamping force for SB Tram fastening system - min. 16kN
  • Gauge adjustment in the range of ±4mm
  • Rail pad material: TPU
  • High shock absorption capacity - min. 40%
  • Small number of components, quick and easy installation
  • Possibility of using mechanical fasteners
