High strength day

11 Feb 2027

ATC Kapfenberg, Austria

Add to calendar

The manufacture of components from high strength fine-grained steels with yield strengths up to 1100 MP a places particular demands on welding technology and the filler materials used. Specific challenges arise based on different base material concepts.

Target group: application engineering, welding supervisors, welding technicians
Qualification level:
Advanced

Objective:

Participants will be familiar with the material-specific challenges of high- e high-strength steels and will be able to derive the optimal welding technology – including process parameters, filler materials and pre- and post-treatment – to ensure crack-free, reproducible joints.

Agenda:

  • Description of base material concepts
  • Challenges, obstacles and limitations in welding
  • Welding concepts
  • Practical application examples
  • Tips and tricks
