Introduction to metallurgy: microstructure and properties of metallic materials, fundamentals of alloys and phase diagrams with a focus on the iron-carbon system . The course also covers the production and classification of steels in accordance with ISO 10020 as well as the key principles of heat treatment for base materials and welded joints.
