Founded in April 1961 in Eisenberg as Fontargen GmbH, the company has stood for outstanding quality and innovation in brazing technology for over six decades. As part of the Böhler Welding Group since 1996 and fully integrated into voestalpine AG since 2013, voestalpine Böhler Welding Fontargen GmbH today combines tradition, technical expertise, and the strength of a global group. In this way, we create solutions that set standards worldwide.

Even after 65 years, Fontargen Brazing continues to develop its portfolio. The focus is on solutions that support efficient processes and meet the demands of modern industrial applications. In doing so, Fontargen Brazing combines technical know-how with international experience and close cooperation with customers worldwide.

Our Application Technology Center for brazing covers a wide range of processes, including conventional flame brazing, high- and medium-frequency induction brazing, as well as MIG brazing demonstrations that highlight the latest developments in joining technology.

To complement this, we provide tailored training programs specifically geared towards the requirements of the HVAC+R, automotive, tooling, and power generation industries. The focus is on practical know-how and customized solutions. In cooperation with our partner TÜV® SÜD Austria, there is also the option to have the training courses certified.

R&D Brazing Europe is responsible for the development and manufacture of all brazing products in Eisenberg and also manages the formulations for production in China. The focus is on the development of safe, environmentally friendly products as well as the continuous further development and optimization of existing solutions. In addition, the scope includes research, product development, production support, regulatory compliance, and technical support for international locations.
