In 1870, the Böhler brothers laid the foundation for a company driven by quality, innovation, and metallurgical expertise. Their name became synonymous with progress in steel and materials engineering, and it still continues to stand for excellence today. 

In 1926, as industrial manufacturing evolved, the Böhler brothers founded the manufacturing plant in Kapfenberg, Austria, and introduced the Böhler Welding brand. The plant in Kapfenberg specializes in producing welding consumables. 
For 100 years, Böhler Welding has continuously advanced welding technology, refining processes, developing new materials, and setting standards for performance, reliability, and safety. From generation to generation, innovation has never stood still.
