voestalpine AG: Management Board mandates of Gerald Mayer, Reinhard Nöbauer, and Carola Richter extended, contracts of Herbert Eibensteiner, Hubert Zajicek, and Franz Kainersdorfer remain unchanged

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of voestalpine AG resolved to extend the Management Board mandates – previously limited to three year – of Gerald Mayer, CFO, Carola Richter, Head of the Metal Forming Division, and Reinhard Nöbauer, Head of the High Performance Metals Division, effective April 1, 2027. The mandates of Herbert Eibensteiner, CEO, Hubert Zajicek, Head of the Steel Division, and Franz Kainersdorfer, Head of the Metal Engineering Division, which already have a term of five years, remain unchanged. Their contracts run until March 31, 2029. Gerald Mayer (55) and Carola Richter (52) will continue their activities for five years (until March 31, 2032), Reinhard Nöbauer’s (62) contract will be extended by a further three years until March 31, 2030.

The different terms of the Management Board mandates ensure the consistent continuation of the voestalpine Group’s successful strategy in a time of unprecedented technological and market challenges.

Herbert Eibensteiner (62) has been a Member of the Management Board of voestalpine AG since 2012 and its Chairman since 2019. As CEO, Eibensteiner is responsible above all for Group strategy, strategic sustainability/environmental management, strategic HR management, F&E, and M&A. Gerald Mayer has been Head of Finance since 2024 and is responsible for accounting, controlling, Group Treasury, taxes and risk management, as well as information technology. Hubert Zajicek (57), Head of the Steel Division, has led the strongest division of voestalpine AG in terms of revenue since 2019, and is responsible within the Group for raw materials. Franz Kainersdorfer (59), Head of the Metal Engineering Division, manages the world market leader in complete railway systems, and has been a Member of the Management Board since 2011. His remit also includes the Group’s long-term energy supply. Carola Richter has headed the Metal Forming Division as a Member of the Management Board since 2024 and is responsible for the area of health & safety throughout the Group. Reinhard Nöbauer has likewise been a Member of the Management Board and Head of the High Performance Metals Division since 2024; he is also responsible for the Group’s procurement strategy.
