Takeover of cam units and sliding element production by the Lacher Camtec Group completed

As part of voestalpine's planned withdrawal from the production of cam units and sliding elements, we are pleased to inform you that the takeover of these activities by Lacher Maschinenbau GmbH & Co KG was successfully completed on 4 August 2025.

The corresponding agreements between voestalpine Stahl GmbH and the Lacher Camtec Group were signed on 6 June 2025. With effect from 4 August 2025, the Lacher Camtec Group took over the former voestalpine Camtec GmbH and thus officially transferred all activities in the cam units and sliding elements sector.

voestalpine Camtec GmbH will soon be renamed and will operate on the market under the name Lacher Camtec GmbH. Michael Lacher and Peter Gruber will take over the management with immediate effect. The existing sites in Austria and Canada will be retained and operations will continue without interruption. The partnership with the Chinese joint venture NYC will also be continued.

Lacher Maschinenbau GmbH has been a reliable partner of voestalpine for over five decades and has already played a major role in the production of cam units and sliding elements. On this solid basis, the new Lacher Camtec GmbH will further develop and expand the existing product and service range in a targeted manner.
