Energy Efficiency Projects implemented on site in Kapfenberg during the BY 2108/2019

Air Curtains in Use in the Storage Areas for Packaging Materials and in the Dispatch Department

Air curtains were installed on the four high-speed doors in the storage area for packaging materials and in the dispatch department, leading to a substantial reduction in natural gas consumption, and subsequently, in carbon emissions.

Wire Damping on the Flux-cored Wire Line

A so-called wire damper has been installed in the flux-cored wire line. It is located between the drawing drum and the drawing plate, allowing for a reduction in both energy consumption (kWh) and in carbon emissions. This project was co-financed with funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
