Hollow Bar

Austenitic chromium nickel molybdenum steel and is produced in many sections including Hollow bar. 316 is resistant to intergranular corrosion in the temperature range up to 300ºC in bar up to 40mm diameter. Owing to its molybdenum content, this steel offers better resistance to acids, having a reducing effect such as diluted sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid, and to media causing pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

Chromium, Molybdenum steel for applications requiring high tensile strength and toughness values, in particular in medium and large cross sections in the quenched and tempered condition. The Molybdenum additions prevent the steel from being susceptible to temper brittleness. Surface hardenable.

Aluminum Bronze is high hardness and abrasion resistant, has excellent strength and wear resistance with reasonable machining properties.

LG2 has Excellent machining properties. Medium strength, good pressure toughness and is not subject to dezincification and has reasonable corrosion resistance to sea water and brine, making it suitable for pump and valve components.  LG2 is suitable for bearings having light loads and low to medium speeds with adequate lubrication and for very light duty gears when loading is negligible.

PB1 has good machining properties, high strength and good corrosion resistance to sea water and brine, making it suitable for pump and valve components.  PB1 is suitable for heavy load gears, worm wheels and bearings having medium to high loads and speeds with good resistance to impact loading or pounding. PB1 must have good lubrication and alignment.

Low carbon steel grade, excellent weldable, the most widely used steel grade used for cylinder tubes. Normally supplied stressed relieved and annealed to either Din 2391-C for seamless tubes or Din 2393-C for welded tubes. Supplied either stressed relieved and annealed or normalised.
