Special Cutting Tools

Special cutting tools are custom Cemented Carbide, HSS, PCD, or CBN tools with tailored geometry and coatings to combine operations and boost throughput. With precision holders and internal coolant, they machine automotive, aerospace, medical, hydraulic, and mould components efficiently.

Special cutting tools are custom‑engineered cutters designed to meet specific machining requirements, consolidate operations, and increase productivity. The process begins with application analysis (material, tolerances, cycle time), followed by tool concepting using CAD/CAM and kinematic simulation. Tools are manufactured from solid Cemented Carbide, HSS‑E/PM, cermet, PCD, or CBN, selected according to workpiece material and required tool life. Geometry is tailored—multi‑step drills, form end mills, port cutters, countersink/chamfer combos, step reamers, and combination tools for drilling‑milling or bore‑chamfer‑deburr in one pass. Coatings (TiAlN, AlCrN, DLC, diamond) and edge preparations (hone, radius, chip splitters) control heat and chip flow. Tooling interfaces include HSK (hollow‑shank tool holder system), BT-taper, CAT(American steep taper concept), SK (German steep taper), hydraulic or shrink‑fit holders to achieve low runout and stability; internal coolant and through‑tool MQL support thermal management. Applications span automotive powertrain and e‑mobility components, aerospace structures, precision hydraulics/pneumatics, medical implants, mould and die, and high‑volume general machining where reduced setups, stable tolerances, and shorter cycle times are critical.
