On March 30 and 31 and on April 1, 2021, RailTech Europe is the digital meeting place to get acquainted with relevant matches in the railway industry. In these trying times, now more than ever there is a need for coming together and share insights about current developments. It is time to work together and build a resilient, international, and future-proof railway.
For years, we have been working on our digital presence and services in an ever-changing world. Hence the reason why we chose the theme ‘digital’ for this first ever completely digital RailTech fair. We would love to show you what we have achieved thus far.
Whether it is about the digital connection of ERP-systems, our most elaborated digital railway catalog in the Netherlands – with thousands of actual products - or our innovative news articles or recently re-designed website. We would like to take our current and future potential clients and partners with us on this journey.
We do so much more in the field of digitalization and are eager to help other parties make their digital transformation. After all, we all benefit when we seamlessly connect. This can be done in different ways. One such example is the EDI solution, our sister company voestalpine Turnout Technology Netherlands has already connected to our network. And what about the innovative solution OCI – which is at the cutting edge of e-commerce in the professional business-to-business branch. Our e-commerce team will be more than happy to tell you all about this at the fair.
RailTech Europe is a multi-stream network event, filled with presentations, workshops, and network possibilities. In addition to presentations of the Dutch ambassador of the European Year of the Railway, Wim van Camp, and Diederik Samson, Head of Cabinet of Climate Commissioner Frans Timmermans in Brussels, Belgium, our very own director strategic development, Erno Chevallier, and focus manager circular railway usage, Akkie Stomphorst, will be giving a workshop: a circular railway: a forgotten art.
“We are aware of the vulnerability of the natural resources. On our premises in Hilversum, the Netherlands, there lies the so-called rail infrastructure mine. Here we collect and sort used railway materials from all over the country in order to reuse and recycle. We have been doing this for many years. During our workshop, we intent to take the audience on a journey of our vision on circular use of materials and the solutions that we have to offer.”
Erno Chevallier and Akkie Stomphorst will be giving the workshop at the Tech Stage on March 30 at 1 PM during the ‘Sustainability” session.
