The Perfect Weld Seam Tour 2025 in Kapfenberg

The day began with the launch of Böhler Welding’s new inverter generation: CORE. For those who don’t talk. They just do. With the new CORE series inverters, Böhler Welding delivers everything that defines the Böhler DNA. The new welding equipment was instantly popular during both viewing and hands-on welding and received excellent feedback from participants.

The freshly renovated Application Technology Center in Kapfenberg was also reopened, now featuring new welding workstations.

On multiple stages, visitors enjoyed engaging expert presentations and live welding demonstrations. Topics such as health and sustainability in the welding industry, as well as the international talk “On Tour,” provided exclusive insights into global projects. Our experts were available on-site for personalized consultations and answered practical questions directly.

The interactive stations were especially well received: from precise TIG welding and MIG/MAG applications to testing the new CORE equipment and exploring (semi-)automated welding systems – everything was covered. Those who wanted to weld themselves could test the equipment on-site. A true highlight was the automated welding setup, where a collaborative robot created personalized giveaways with golden weld seams.

The virtual welding competition demanded real welding skills. The prize: a sculpture printed with welding wire – one of only three Flying Vs worldwide produced using WAAM technology.

The day was rounded off with an exclusive factory tour and culinary delights from the food truck – a thoroughly successful event for everyone involved.
