The Perfect Weld Seam Tour 2025 is in full swing

The Central and Eastern European leg of The Perfect Weld Seam Tour made an impressive stop in Slovakia – and it was nothing short of a highlight. Around 130 visitors and welding specialists gathered for a packed one-day event filled with technology, inspiration, and hands-on experiences. The program offered a diverse mix of technical expertise and engaging interaction for visitors from factories, universities and welding schools. 

The event kicked off with all visitors welcomed by Blumenbecker SK, voestalpine Böhler Welding CEE and Slovak Welding association, technical presentations were focused on Böhler Welding software solution such as weldNet® Process Manager, weldNet® Material Manager, weldNet® Equipment Configurator, welding automation and equipment and new welding consumables. 

Participants were invited to see a practical demonstration and live professional welding with CO-BRO® FLEX, CO-BRO® TIG, KUKA robot with Böhler Welding robotic integration kit, TERRA NX 400 PMC Dual Feeder, wheelRunner and railRunner and URANOS NX 5000 GSM - multifunctional machine. Unique combination of Böhler Welding equipment and Böhler Welding/UTP consumables, resulting in The Perfect Weld Seam. 

One of the event highlights was the tombola, with the chance to win limited-edition rockstar welding helmet and an inverter URANOS 150 DP. Delicious catering and live rock music band added to the relaxed yet energetic atmosphere, creating a memorable experience for all who attended.

As part of The Perfect Weld Seam Tour, voestalpine Böhler Welding made an exciting stop in Italy, bringing together welders, customers, and industry partners for a day dedicated to innovation, competition, and celebration of welding craftsmanship.

Attendees also explored high-performance consumables, including: EMK6 ULTRA, diamondspark 46MC, Thermanit 316, and BöhlerQ 308.

A highlight of the event was a welding challenge that drew over 70 welders from the region. Participants eagerly competed using our advanced MIG and TIG solutions to create The Perfect Weld Seam. The atmosphere was electric, with welders continuously testing our equipment and pushing each other to excel.

The challenge was judged by a professional jury from the Italian Institute of Welding, who were deeply impressed by the skill level displayed. In recognition, they awarded the winner a fully funded course at the Institute - an internationally recognized certification that honors excellence in the welding profession.

The event wasn’t just about technology - it was a celebration. With live music, a food truck, and a vibrant atmosphere, it truly honored the essential role of welders in our industry.

During the Tour stop in England, voestalpine Böhler Welding proudly celebrated the opening of its new Application Technology Center (ATC) in the UK — a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliver a firsthand experience of our advanced welding technologies, comprehensive solution offerings, and technical expertise. This milestone event reinforces our commitment to delivering the The Perfect Weld Seam and empowering our distributor partners and customers across the region.

Throughout the day, attendees explored the full spectrum of Böhler Welding’s cutting-edge solutions, including CO-BRO Flex, Rockstar Machines TERRA NX 400 PME, TERRA NX 500 PME, URANOS 2000 SMC, and the unveiling of a brand-new welding helmet, the Evolution Vision V80/V80^M — highlighting our continued focus on innovation, safety, and performance.

As part of the ongoing The Perfect Weld Seam Tour, voestalpine Böhler Welding proudly participated in the 2025 French Welding Championship, held on May 23–24 in Poitiers. This prestigious event brought together 40 welding candidates, over 40 partners, and a wide audience of students, professionals, and industry enthusiasts for two days of technical competition, innovation, and collaboration.

Held in a new arena-style layout, this year's championship raised the standard with challenging tests, a revamped jury panel, and state-of-the-art inspection technologies, including ultrasound and radiographic testing. The competition recognized top welders across multiple categories, honoring not only skill but also the passion and dedication that define the welding profession.
