Visit from the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh

In November 2014 and for the first time in the history of Austria, the People's Republic of Bangladesh officially established an embassy in Vienna.

In the course of his first official visit to Upper Austria on 5 May 2015, His Excellency Mohammed Abu Zafar was accompanied by Honorary Consul Ernst W. Graft on a visit to voestalpine at the Linz site. Wolfgang Mitterdorfer (Management Board member responsible for sales) and Arthur Hagg (Director of Communications) welcomed the Ambassador from the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

During a tour of the manufacturing facilities, Ambassador Zafar was impressed by the modern steelmaking installations at voestalpine and showed great interest in the dimensions of the works and its innovative production technologies.
