Chemical industry components require BÖHLER steels with excellent corrosion resistance and stability. Key quality features include ultra-clean materials, full traceability, controlled heat treatment, and rigorous testing for safe, reliable operatio
Components used in the general chemical industry are exposed to highly aggressive environments, including corrosive media, elevated temperatures, pressure fluctuations, and complex chemical reactions. Equipment such as reactors, valves, pumps, and piping systems must ensure safe and reliable operation over long service periods. Material requirements are therefore focused on excellent corrosion resistance, resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking, high-temperature stability, and adequate mechanical strength. In addition, materials must maintain structural integrity and dimensional stability under combined chemical and mechanical loading.
BÖHLER high-performance steels and alloys are specifically developed to meet these demanding chemical industry requirements. Advanced stainless steels, including austenitic, duplex, and precipitation-hardened grades, as well as highly alloyed materials, provide an optimized combination of corrosion resistance and mechanical performance. Produced using advanced melting and refining technologies, BÖHLER materials ensure superior cleanliness, low inclusion levels, and homogeneous microstructures, which are essential for long-term reliability. Key quality features include strict control of chemical composition, certified traceability, and validated heat treatment processes. Comprehensive testing, including corrosion behavior, mechanical performance, and non-destructive inspection, ensures compliance with industry standards. BÖHLER materials enable safe, durable, and efficient solutions for critical chemical processing applications.

Prečítajte si viacBÖHLER T200 covers a corrosion and heat resistant steel in the form of bars, wire, forgings and forging stock. It is an austenitic, precipitation hardenable, iron-nickel-chromium-molydenum-titanium steel of ESR quality. Alloying elements of aluminium and titanium allow this material to undergo precipitation hardening (ageing) through the formation of intermetallic phases. The addition of molybdenum increases the mechanical properties and resistance to creep at high temperatures. These products are typically used for parts in the oil and gas industry requiring moderate strength up to 704 °C (1300 °F) and oxidation resistance up to 816 °C (1500 °F), but their use is not limited to such applications.
