This week we received international ECM certification from the ILT (Environment and Transport Inspectorate). The ECM certificate consists of four parts in total related to wagon maintenance, which is aimed at establishing safe movement of freight in Europe.
This certification confirms voestalpine Railpro as an Entity in Charge of Maintenance and it shows that as the owner of 1,600 freight wagons, we are in compliance with all European directives for the maintenance of wagons. We became the first entity in the Netherlands to be certified for all four components within the ECM package as our maintenance management, maintenance development, maintenance planning and maintenance of the workplace at Railpro are all in compliance with European regulations for wagon maintenance.
All entities responsible for wagon maintenance are required to be ECM certified by 1 June 2013.
