BÖHLER N360 is a premium aircraft quality corrosion resistant, martensitic stainless steel, produced using the P-ESR-process. Compared to conventionally produced Cr and CrMo steels, BÖHLER N360 offers improved corrosion resistance and toughness properties as well as high hardness and compressive strength. It is typically used for anti-friction bearing components e.g. bearings, ball screws and wear resistant components for use in the aircraft industry and for automotive components, requiring resistance to both corrosion and wear with hardness not lower than 58 HRC after hardening and tempering, but usage is not limited to such applications.
Read MoreBÖHLER N695 is a Chromium alloyed stainless steel with high hardness, wear resistance and good corrosion resistance in the hardened and tempered condition. this grade is typically used for parts requiring hardness up to 58 HRC and resistance to wear, corrosion, and oxidation, e.g. balls, rollers, needles and rings for corrosion resistant bearings, but usage is not limited to such applications.
Read MoreBÖHLER N695SA is a high-grade, vacuum remelted chromium stainless steel of aerospace quality, offering high hardness, wear resistance, and good corrosion resistance in the quenched and tempered condition. Compared to air-melted quality, this steel exhibits improved rolling contact fatigue properties and is typically used for components requiring hardness up to 58 HRC and resistance to wear, corrosion, and oxidation—such as balls, rollers, needles, and rings for corrosion-resistant bearings—although its use is not limited to these applications.
Read MoreBÖHLER R100 ia a a premium aircraft-quality, vacuum-arc-remelted low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings and forging stock. The grade is used typically for parts requiring through hardening properties, usually with hardness of approximately 60 HRC in section thicknesses 0.50 inch (12.7 mm) and under. E.g. bearing rings and rolling elements, bearing balls and races.
Read MoreBÖHLER R250 is a a premium aircraft-quality, double vacuum-melted low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings and forging stock. The grade is used typically for parts such as bearings operating under heavy loads and high speeds at moderate temperatures up to 600° F. E.g. bearings and rolling elements, bearing balls and races.
Read MoreBÖHLER R350 is a premium aircraft-quality, double vacuum-melted low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings and forging stock. The grade is used typically for critical carburized parts such as bearings operating under heavy loads and high speeds at moderate temperatures. E.g. bearings and rolling elements, bearing balls and races.
Read MoreBÖHLER V361 is a 3% Cr-Mo-V nitriding low-alloy steel of premium aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel offering a tensile strength of up to over 1350MPa in the form of bars, forgings, and forging stock. Due to the optimized production route via VIM-melting and VAR-remelting, the steel offers high impact strength and fatigue limit. It may be nitrided in the heat treated condition to obtain a wear resistant surface. It is used typically for nitrided parts such as bearings, operating under heavy loads and high speeds at moderate temperatures, and requiring highest surface hardness, high core toughness, and less distortion than parts made from case hardening steel, but usage is not limited to such applications.
