  • BÖHLER N114

BÖHLER N114 is a modified 13% chromium steel with special soft magnetic properties, namely very low coercive force and high electrical resistance. Due to the high sulphur content, the material can be machined very well, for example on automatic machining centres. BÖHLER N114 has very good hot and cold extrusion properties. Used for stainless parts for mechanical and electrical engineering, e.g. solenoid valves, pistons, back-locking parts, pole cores, shields and magnetic armatures. Delivery condition annealed ex works. A final annealing treatment for magnetic properties must be carried out after cold forming, e.g. extrusion, upsetting or extensive machining processes.

  • BÖHLER N360

BÖHLER N360 is a corrosion resistant, martensitic stainless steel, produced using the pressurized-ESR-process ( P-ESR) . Compared to conventionally produced Cr and CrMo steels, BÖHLER N360 offers improved corrosion resistance and toughness properties as well as high hardness and compressive strength. It is typically used for anti-friction bearing components e.g. bearings, ball screws and wear resistant components for use in the engineering and medical industry, e.g. knives and other cutting tools, shafts, plastic extrusion, screw driver, drills, fasteners and engine-components, requiring resistance to both corrosion and wear with hardness not lower than 58 HRC after hardening and tempering, but usage is not limited to such applications.

  • BÖHLER P800

BÖHLER P800 is a soft magnetic Fe-17% Co- alloy with high magnetic saturation. It has been developed for use in high performance actuator systems especially in the area of Diesel Injection Systems. Thanks to the high magnetic saturation of min 2,14 T (at min. 400 A/cm), the cobalt-iron alloy generally is suitable for all applications where high flux density and minimum weight is required. Due to the moderate Co content BÖHLER P800 is optimized for challenging technical applications under economically sensitive conditions. Delivery condition as rolled. The alloy can be cold formed. A final annealing treatment for magnetic properties is to be carried out after cold reforming, such as extrusion, upsetting or extensive machining operations.

  • BÖHLER W302 ISOBLOC

BÖHLER W302 ISOBLOC is a 5% chromium steel and corresponds to material number 1.2344 (X40CrMoV5-1). Produced via the electroslag remelting process (ESR), this tool steel has very high hot toughness as well as very high hot hardness and a very good resistance against heat-checkings. The combination of these properties makes it a top performer in closed- and open-die forging as well as in high- and low-pressure die casting. In addition, this material has very good polishability and is therefore also often used as a molding material for plastic injection molds.
