We are a company for the production of high-quality steel – steel, which covers a wide range of products and applications in the further processing. At the Donawitz plant, high-quality raw steel is transformed into clubs or Pre-blocks processed. As a universal material, steel forms the basis for high-quality and innovative solutions in many areas of life and technology.

We are fully focused on our core business – steel production at the highest level. This makes us more powerful, responsive and flexible – in keeping with our self-image as a committed problem-solving partner. For our customers, this means that we can also produce smaller quantities economically. If necessary, we also provide product and application-related development work. Ensuring the current and future market opportunities of our customers is the basis for the success of our company.

Approximately 1.65 million tons of high-quality raw steel are processed to billets or pre-blocks each year. Most of the production is used as raw material for the companies voestalpine Rail Technology, voestalpine Wire Technology and voestalpine Tubulars of the voestalpine Group. The export share is around 15 percent.
