At the Donawitz plant, up to 1. 65 million euros can be invested each year. Tons of high-quality raw steel for billets (130 x 130 to 160 x 160 mm) or pre-blocks (230mm round, 360 x 270mm, 440 x 330mm and 390 x 283mm) can be processed. A wide range of steel grades for the highest demands is produced on the classical production line "sintering plant – blast furnace – crude iron desulphurisation – LD process – downstream metallurgy – continuous casting plants – billet rolling mill".

The maximum total alloy content is 9%. The use of modern vacuum systems achieves low hydrogen and total oxygen levels.
