F22 is a Low Alloy Steel which meets NACE MR0175 requirements for sour service environments whwn heat treated to a maximum hardness of of 22 HRC. F22 has very good through hardenability allowing uniform properties across thick cross-sections. It is usually used in oil field equipment for wellheads, BOPs, hangers and valves.
