Filling system components require BÖHLER stainless steels with high corrosion resistance, hygiene performance, and wear resistance. Key quality features include ultra-clean materials, full traceability, controlled heat treatment, and verified surface quality for safe food processing.
Filling operations in food and beverage processing demand the highest levels of precision, hygiene, and operational reliability. Components such as filling valves, nozzles, pumps, pistons, guides, and flow control elements are exposed to continuous contact with beverages, cleaning agents, sterilization media, and frequent production cycles. Material requirements therefore focus on excellent corrosion resistance, high wear resistance, smooth and cleanable surfaces, and dimensional stability. Resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and chemical attack is essential to ensure product safety, prevent contamination, and maintain process efficiency over long service intervals.
BÖHLER high-performance steels and alloys are specifically engineered to meet these demanding requirements. Advanced stainless steels, including austenitic, martensitic, and precipitation-hardened grades, provide an optimized combination of corrosion resistance, strength, toughness, and surface finish quality. Produced using advanced melting and refining technologies, BÖHLER materials ensure superior cleanliness, low inclusion content, and homogeneous microstructures, supporting reliable operation and extended component life. Key quality features include strict control of chemical composition, certified traceability, validated heat treatment processes, and excellent polishability. Comprehensive testing, including corrosion resistance evaluation, surface integrity verification, and non-destructive inspection, ensures compliance with food industry standards. BÖHLER materials enable hygienic, efficient, and reliable filling systems with maximum productivity and product quality.
BÖHLER M303 is a corrosion-resistant, martensitic chromium steel with very good toughness, corrosion resistance, good wear resistance and improved machinability and polishability. Compared to 1.2316, BÖHLER M303 has better homogeneity and is approved for food and beverage contact.
Citește mai multBÖHLER N700 is a high-quality corrosion-resistant steel in aerospace quality, in the form of bars, wire and forgings with a diameter/thickness of up to 203 mm in the solution-annealed condition, as well as starting material of any size for forging purposes. It is a martensitic, precipitation-hardenable chromium-nickel-copper steel with high strength and toughness. Further increases in strength can be achieved by cold forming and subsequent precipitation hardening. These products are typically used for parts requiring corrosion resistance and high strength up to 316°C. However, their use is not limited to such applications. However, use is not limited to such applications. Certain processing methods and operating conditions can cause these products to become susceptible to stress corrosion cracking. For applications such as bolting where stress corrosion cracking is possible, the product should be aged for a minimum of 4 hours at the highest temperature compatible with the strength requirements, but in no case lower than 552°C.
