No events at the moment.
On February 10th, 2025, President Trump signed a proclamation imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports into the United States. These tariffs, which took effect on March 12th, 2025, impact most of our products. Unfortunately, the proclamation also removes product exclusions or previously negotiated quota agreements.
Despite our best efforts to mitigate costs over the past few years, rising labor, energy, and transportation costs, among others, and now tariffs, leave us with no choice but to increase the pricing of our products effective May 1st, 2025.
We understand this is a challenging environment, and we want to assure our customers that we remain committed to delivering high-quality materials and services at the best possible value. Our team continues to work diligently to control costs and minimize the impact on your business.
We will provide more updates as information becomes available. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact your voestalpine customer service team.
Thank you for your continued support.

voestalpine High Performance Metals Americas
We are pleased to announce that voestalpine Additive Manufacturing Centers (vAMC) in Canada and US are the first ever in North America to be certified by DNV for the Oil & Gas Industry with the DNV-ST-B203 industry standard. vAMC’s certification meets rigorous quality and integrity equipment standards for the manufacture of printed metallic parts.
DNV is an internationally-accredited registrar and classification society based in Høvik, Norway. The new DNV-ST-B203 standard is designed to support and encourage energy industries to adopt Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology and ensure products, assets, and systems across the AM value chain are safe and efficient. This will help energy industries gain cost savings, efficiencies, and built-in safety measures.

VOESTALPINE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Dear Supplier,
As always, the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, suppliers and the entire community are foremost in our minds. voestalpine High Performance Metals Corporation, for and on behalf of, Böhler, Uddeholm, eifeler, Sturdell, and Buffalo Precision (collectively, “voestalpine”) is closely monitoring the emerging threat of COVID-19 and taking the necessary preventative measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, suppliers and continuity of our business.
The steel industry has been designated a “Critical Infrastructure Segment” under Presidential Policy Directive 21 and Department of Homeland Security emergency readiness programs implementing the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001. 42 U.S.C. § 5195c(e). It is therefore the policy of the United States government that these industries continue to function with minimal disruption in the event of an emergency.
As voestalpine is deemed a “federal critical infrastructure sector”, all our plants remain open for business and are continuing to accept and deliver orders for our critical infrastructure customers in medical, transportation, aerospace, and oil & gas industries. Our customers expect us to continue to provide the highest levels of goods and service, with no interruptions to their business.
As a supplier to voestalpine, you are deemed a “critical infrastructure industry” of the steel industry requiring your business to remain open and provide goods and services during this critical time; therefore, we expect that you, as a supplier to voestalpine, will continue to support voestalpine’s operations. Due to large volume of inquiry from our suppliers and in the interest of time, we will provide rolling updates on our website (https://www.voestalpine.com/highperformancemetals/usa/en/) about any changes that may impact our suppliers.
voestalpine will continue to work with and keep informed our critical infrastructure suppliers and we encourage our suppliers to reach out if you have any questions at NAMCV.taskteam@voestalpine.com.
Kind regards,
VOESTALPINE LEADERSHIP TEAM
