Cold Forming

Cold forming is a manufacturing process widely used in the automotive industry and also for home appliances. Typically sheet material is bended or press formed.

The most critical failure mechanisms for softer work materials (≤300 HB) are abrasive wear and adhesive wear while for harder work materials (>300 HB), they are abrasive wear, adhesive wear, galling and plastic deformation.
