The actuating movement generated by the switch drive is reliably transmitted to further tongue or locking levels. The horizontal movement of the drive is mechanically converted into a rotary movement and then converted back into a precise linear movement. This allows several actuating and locking levels to be operated synchronously and safely.

The system is mounted on the sleepers in the middle of the track or next to the track and can be optimally adapted to different switch geometries.

Thanks to its purely mechanical mode of operation, the torsion linkage is largely maintenance-free and insensitive to environmental influences. The robust design supports reliable operation and can be driven over at speeds of up to 40 km/h.
