New image campaign: We show #OurFavoriteThings

Christopher Eberl
Christopher Eberl is editorially responsible for the topics on the blog as well as for the apprentice website. With his stories he provides deep insights into the diverse world of the voestalpine Group.

As a globally leading steel and technology group, we bear a lot of responsibility. We are all working with great passion and know-how to shape our future as a global company, and to lead by example. Instead of just talking about innovations, we show them in a human context.

Employees as ambassadors

In our campaign, those people provide insight into the world and attitude of the voestalpine Group who play a key role in our success – our employees. They tell who we are by showing (and singing) what is important to us. This includes future topics such as energy, greentec steel, women in technology, training as well as sustainability and innovation. Our Favorite Things, in other words.

#OurFavoriteThings

Although our products form the basis of a modern life, they are often invisible in everyday life. Everything from sustainable energy generation and safety in personal transportation to comfortable travel on rails around the world. But instead of just talking about innovations, we simply show them.

To make the campaign memorable, rather than just creating a list of #OurFavoriteThings, we created an entire song. It’s our version of the international hit “My Favorite Things” from the classic movie “The Sound of Music,” which coincidentally was filmed near our headquarters in Linz.
