Marina stays constantly up to date on what’s happening in the Welding and Tubulars business units. No wonder—she’s the first to hear the “latest news” about automated welding systems as well as the fascinating seamless pipes. Marina then tailors these stories to specific target audiences and shares them as posts and stories on social media—in multiple languages on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. In both the oil and gas industry and the green industry, these pipes are in high demand worldwide. And the stated goal is to reach and inform followers in both business areas up to five times a week with text, images, and videos, and to build a community.
Marina has always been familiar with the voestalpine companies in Upper Styria and the scale of our company. “You can learn from the big players. There are professionals at work there.” This motto has guided her throughout her first summer internship, her student projects, and her master’s thesis—all of which she completed with us.
Today, she works closely with her team—and especially with her immediate colleagues—partly from home and partly at our “MarCom Agency” in Donawitz. One month in advance, the daily or bi-daily social media posts are prepared and finalized in accordance with the strategically coordinated annual plan. Agreed-upon approval processes ensure the highest quality in all areas. This sometimes takes time, even in communications, but with mutual support and respectful collaboration as equals, timely success stories and live reports are well within reach.
In addition to her social media role, Marina also works as a marketing communications coordinator for our Welding business unit, specifically for the CEE region (Central and Eastern Europe). This involves, for example, disseminating global information, coordinating and providing marketing materials, coordinating language adaptations, and supporting events and other marketing activities.
The core values we uphold as a company are also reflected in Marina’s personal values: appreciation, quality, sustainability, and physical activity. In addition, she’s constantly expanding her skills and is currently pursuing a degree in psychology alongside her job, family, and free time. Our social media expert particularly appreciates that she can balance it all so well.
Marina experiences her personal #FavoriteMoments while doing yoga, playing tennis, or on her tennis trips. When her four-year-old son excitedly points out the rails at railroad crossings—which we manufacture—or when he playfully “welds” something together in his children’s workshop, Marina feels especially proud to be part of voestalpine! She also enjoys encounters with our #FavoriteMoments tram on Graz’s Herrengasse, shared experiences at the employee party with family and colleagues, and the fact that she herself is part of our #FavoriteMoments video.
In our new brand and image campaign #FavoriteMoments, we show our contribution to a modern, sustainable life from the perspective of people. We focus on their individual favorite moments and the commitment of our employees that makes such moments possible. The specially composed song “All these moments” accompanies the campaign and musically conveys our values, courage, community and our joy for the future and is authentically accompanied by pictures of our employees.
