International Metallurgy Student Day 2025: A look back

From April 9 to 11, 2025, the International Student Day of Metallurgy (ISDM) took place at the Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria, bringing together students, scientists and experts from the field of metallurgy. We were represented as the main sponsor.

Valuable insights and relaxed networking

The ISDM offered participants the opportunity to give technical presentations, gain valuable insights from other students and connect with companies specializing in metallurgy. We had the honor of hosting the formal gala evening of the event, which allowed us to present ourselves, our products and our job description to the metallurgists. A quiz about our company lightened the mood and enabled participants to win tickets for the LIDO SOUNDS FESTIVAL in Linz. Afterwards, the gala evening provided the perfect opportunity for networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Job description of metallurgists: Tasks and working environment

Metallurgists work in the areas of research and development, production and finishing as well as quality assurance. The tasks include the planning and implementation of expansions, production logistics, environmental protection and technical customer support. They work in interdisciplinary teams with engineers and process automation experts as well as closely with the operating personnel and the various production stages. The main tasks are process optimization to improve product quality and production safety as well as cost reduction. Metallurgists can look forward to inspiring and innovative teamwork with us.

Metallurgy is the key function in extracting metal from raw materials and shaping it into products. But its true strength is only revealed through networking with other disciplines!
