voestalpine Meincol has been part of our Group since 2008. With two plants in Caxias do Sul and over 400 employees, this leading manufacturer produces high-quality special tubes and profiles for customers with specific technical requirements. The company has continuously developed, from steel distributor to one of main manufacturer of standard and special tubes and profiles of South America.
We are increasingly seeking added value in our products, which are increasingly competitive – in order to reduce dependence on standard tubes and profiles.

Value-adding growth
Thanks to further development and specialization, the product portfolio is based on several pillars: On the one hand, since 2016, customers in the solar energy sector have been supplied with tubes and profiles for the manufacture of PV trackers, which have reached large quantities thanks to the PV boom in Brazil in recent years. On the other hand, the portfolio also includes other, completely different segments, such as cabins for agricultural and construction machinery, certified ROPS (Rollover Protection Structures) and FOPS (Falling Object Protection Structures). In addition to these segments, our company also supplies the automotive sector, with a focus on commercial vehicles, such as chassis parts for buses and trucks, as well as various components for trailers and semi-trailers.
The construction industry also uses our solutions: With Metsec construction systems and special tubes for the manufacture of concrete molds, we offer our customers solutions that reduce construction time and costs. In addition, our special pipes and profiles for shelving solutions enable significant cost and efficiency advantages—while maintaining consistently high product quality and excellent engineering. Furthermore, the high-quality grapes of winegrowers in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile climb the first vineyard posts manufactured in South America under our Valeno brand.
Far more than just pipes
Our Brazilian site is particularly strong in developing and manufacturing processed solutions along the value chain for customers in a wide range of industries, beyond standard and special pipes. The expertise of our Meincol team goes far beyond the design and manufacture of tubes and open sections: Additional processing steps such as bending, cutting, and laser and welded components bring us even closer to the market and enable us to meet our customers’ requirements in a targeted and flexible manner. Thanks to intensive exchange and pooled expertise, voestalpine Meincol is the central hub for the product portfolio in the Tubes & Sections segment within the Metal Forming Division – both in Brazil and across the entire South American market.

Meincol’s expertise is based on decades of experience, the commitment of local colleagues, and the exchange within the global voestalpine network. As part of the Metal Forming Division, voestalpine Meincol in Brazil is considered a pioneer and bundles the expertise of the entire division at one location.
A little bit of every company in our business unit is in us, and we have developed a wide range of products and segments in Brazil that are already familiar to our sister companies around the world, such as cabins for agricultural and construction machinery, formworks, construction systems, storage, viticulture poles, solar systems, high-strength pipes, among others.

Technologies, products, customers, and expertise are shared with other metal forming companies, and they are in constant close contact with colleagues in Austria, Belgium, the UK, the US, and the Czech Republic, for example. The Z, C, and U profiles, which are used in customized construction systems based on the concepts of Metsec and Profilform, are ideal for side carports, mezzanines, encolsure structures and roof coverings for industrial facilities, distribution centers, shopping malls, airports, and other applications.
voestalpine Sadef and voestalpine Krems are outstanding partners for voestalpine Meincol when it comes to special tubes for cabins. In Krems, we have a similar tube and profile forming operation to our Brazilian counterparts and offer a very comparable product portfolio for the agricultural, automotive, construction, and viticulture sectors. All this and much more is brought together under the Meincol umbrella in Caxias do Sul and customized for our customers accordingly.

We focus on their individual favorite moments and the commitment of our employees that makes such moments possible.
