R&D Competences

Our highly trained engineers continuously develop solutions and products to meet specific customer requirements. To this end, voestalpine Tubulars has built the most modern testing centre in 2014 that is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the national accreditation body of the Federal Ministry for Digital Economic Affair.

All quality-related tests can be conducted in this testing facility as well as material property tests are performed on-site by highly qualified staff according to precisely defined, standardized test protocols. At the same time, new product developments can be quickly tested internally and made available to customers in a shorter time frame.

With the new “Technical Center Metallurgy” (TechMet) and the new “Metallurgy Laboratory” (MetLab), our sister company voestalpine Stahl Donawitz has created an Institution to conduct research and development in an innovative, flexible and application‑oriented manner parallel to production. In addition to our internal research facilities, we have a worldwide network of institutions and specialists who support us in the development of new products.

Sustainability

Our approach combines innovation and responsibility: we rely on sustainable materials, optimise manufacturing processes and promote the recyclability of our products.

By consistently integrating sustainability into our corporate philosophy and utilizing our Line Pipes in modern, forward-looking infrastructure projects, we make a significant contribution to aligning ecological and economic goals.
