In September 2017, the world’s largest and most important welding and cutting trade fair returns to Germany. Under the motto of “Global Applications Unlimited”, voestalpine Böhler Welding Group presents its many product highlights. The Westphalian company headquarters has a long history, but it is thanks to recent investments that it is ideally prepared for the future.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new high-tech Application Technology Center took place at the beginning of September 2017. In accordance with voestalpine Böhler Welding’s key company value to “focus on the customer”, specialist courses for the company’s customers and partners will be offered in the new Application Technology Center. Another focus is product and application testing. voestalpine Böhler Welding does more than sell high-quality welding consumables; it sees itself as a full solution provider who works with partners to develop and implement complex technological solutions.
Another example of innovative power in Hamm is the automatic bagging system. A multilayer continuous tube is cut into bags that are filled with welding powder and hermetically sealed. Thanks to aluminum, the material is vapor-tight and protects the powder from moisture. This innovation can open up new markets. And in fact, during the ramp-up in February 2017, a 500-ton order was closed with a renowned offshore customer.
