What Exactly Is a Capital Markets Day?

For companies listed on the stock market, a Capital Markets Day is one of the most important financial communication formats. Analysts, investors, and bank representatives use this event to gain a comprehensive understanding of a company’s strategic direction, relevant market developments, and future prospects. For us, it offers the opportunity to explain selected topics in greater detail and place them in context.

More Than Just Quarterly Figures

In our quarterly reports, we regularly provide updates on the Group’s financial performance and report key figures on our website, via EQS News, and at press conferences. Capital Markets Day complements this reporting by looking ahead. It focuses on strategic priorities, growth markets, transformation projects, and the long-term development of voestalpine. The assessments of analysts and investors influence how a company is perceived in the capital markets. This makes it important for us to present and contextualize our strategic priorities in a transparent manner.

Direct Dialogue with the Capital Market

During our Capital Markets Day, we welcome analysts, investors, and bank representatives from Europe and the U.S. Many of them have been following voestalpine’s development for years and are in regular contact with our Investor Relations team. The event provides a framework for discussing key topics for the future with management and bringing together different market perspectives.

At our Capital Markets Day, we speak with people who assess and evaluate us in the capital markets and shape our image there. That’s why it’s important that we communicate our strategy clearly, transparently, and through direct dialogue.

Capital Markets Day 2026 Showcases Growth Opportunities

Herbert Eibensteiner, CEO of voestalpine AG, and CFO Gerald Mayer will present our strategic direction and achievements. A key part of the presentation and Q&A session will be our commitment to green transformation as part of greentec steel. Other key topics will include the growth markets of aerospace, warehouse and racking solutions, and railway systems.

The rail industry is receiving significant momentum from international infrastructure initiatives such as the EU Green Deal, the U.S. National Travel & Tourism Infrastructure Strategic Plan, India’s National Rail Plan, and China’s Belt and Road Initiative. In addition, investments in efficient maintenance are having a positive impact on the market. Franz Kainersdorfer, member of the Executive Board of voestalpine AG and Head of the Metal Engineering Division, and Günter Neureiter, Managing Director of voestalpine Railway Systems, will therefore outline the strategic positioning and focus of the three business areas: rails, turnouts, and signaling. An outlook on future projects and international growth opportunities are also on the agenda.

Experience Rail Up Close During the Trade Show Visit

Following that, an exciting opportunity awaits financial experts: a visit to InnoTrans—the world’s largest trade fair for transportation technology. That is precisely why our Capital Markets Day is taking place this year in conjunction with the trade fair and near the trade fair venue. By visiting our booth, capital markets professionals can experience our railway systems firsthand. In addition, they can see for themselves the size of the market, the sector’s innovative strength, and the international market dynamics of the railway sector—as well as the successes of voestalpine Railway Systems, such as:
