Connecting interfaces as seamlessly as possible—this is the mission Barbara works on every day. For about two years now, as a road safety and high-rack specialist, I have been collaborating with our logistics company LogServ, which handles the shipment of materials for global projects as well as warehouse management. Barbara operates right at the interface between suppliers, supply chain colleagues, and the logistics service provider to ensure materials are transferred as seamlessly as possible and to clarify necessary information regarding transport and international shipping. She does everything in her power to ensure the right materials arrive at the right place at the right time. Her field of work is diverse and encompasses SAP, warehouse management, shipping, and infrastructure.
After her maternity leave, Barbara returned to her job on a part-time basis and works partly in the office at voestalpine Krems Finaltechnik and partly from her home office. Equipped with a laptop, cell phone, network access, and headset, she stays in close contact with her interface partners both in the office and at home via modern communication systems with chat and meeting functions, as well as via email. This allows Barbara to organize her work in a flexible and family-friendly way. Everyone enjoys using the time spent in the office to discuss complex topics in person. Barbara values this flexibility just as much as the camaraderie in the office.
Barbara now wants to further increase her professional commitment to smooth processes and efficient transport handling, expand her working hours to support this, and continue her professional development at . Her manager and the HR team discussed and reviewed her proposal with her right away—one of her #FavoriteMoments, because this is another way appreciation is shown.
