Human Fate

Area III

This area is dedicated to the different categories of the men and women who were forced to labor. The fate of the forced workers, prisoners of war, concentration camp prisoners, their children and youth is the central theme of this exhibit. The most prominently represented nationalities were Poles and people from other Eastern European countries. Spoken remembrances and personnel documents show the system of forced labor under the NS regime at the Linz location of the Hermann Göring works. Because of the specific form of arbitrary punishment and repression imposed upon each of these groups, a topic category has been assigned to each of them in this area.
