  • Spring steel wire is a high-strength wire that has been specially developed for applications in which elastic recovery, fatigue strength, and dimensional stability are crucial - e.g., in technical springs, fasteners, or valve components.

  • In cooperation with our steelworks, we are developing what is known as superclean technology, which reduces non-metallic inclusions in a critical surface area to a minimum. This is essential for springs subjected to extremely dynamic loads, such as valve springs in combustion engines, in order to ensure maximum service life and safety. Superclean spring steel wire reduces the risk of spring breakage, so to speak.

  • Thanks to optimized alloys, targeted cooling parameters, and thermographic process monitoring, we supply spring wires that can be processed directly—without intermediate patenting.

  • Our products are IATF certified. Each wire is tested according to defined test plans – individually tailored to the requirements of our customers.

  • Yes. voestalpine Wire Technology has developed a new ultra-high-strength spring steel grade with high toughness. An initial CC3 single batch has already been successfully produced and tested by the customer. The aim is to establish a stable European supply chain for the most demanding requirements.

  • Thanks to optimized alloy variants and defined cooling parameters, our spring steel wires can be drawn directly without intermediate patenting. This saves costs and reduces process steps—a clear efficiency advantage for our customers.
