The Perfect Weld Seam Tour 2025 started off strong

Under bright sunshine, over 100 guests from industrial companies, trades, and educational institutions gathered at The Perfect Weld Seam Tour in Hamm. The atmosphere was consistently positive – open-minded, curious, and enthusiastic about the diverse program.

On multiple stages, visitors could follow exciting expert presentations and experience live welding demonstrations up close. Topics such as health and sustainability in the welding industry or the international “On Tour” talk offered exclusive insights into global projects. Our experts were on hand for one-on-one consultations and answered practical, real-world questions.

Particularly popular were the numerous interactive stations: everything was represented, from delicate TIG welding to MIG/MAG applications and semi-automated systems. Those who wanted to try welding themselves could test the equipment on-site. A true highlight was the automated welding setup – not only did it provide information about wire-based 3D printing, but also personalized giveaways with a golden weld seam, crafted by a collaborative robot.

The virtual welding competition tested participants' real welding skills. The prize: a sculpture printed from welding wire – one of only three Flying V models in the world made using WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing).

The day was rounded off with an exclusive factory tour and delicious food served from a food truck – an all-around successful event for everyone involved.

In true Rockstar style, the tour roared to life as we launched the Perfect Weld Seam Tour in Central and Eastern Europe with an electrifying two-day stop at voestalpine High Performance Metals CZ – Vyskov in the Czech Republic.

Over 90 welders and industry professionals gathered to witness the fusion of technology, safety innovations and hands-on experience. The spotlight shone on the Rockstar Edition welding equipment: the TERRA NX 400 PME, the URANOS 2000 SMC, and the matching Guardian 62 welding helmet in Rockstar design.

The event was a masterclass in innovation, featuring everything from engaging technical presentations on health and safety to the launch of the EMK Ultra coppered coated wires and dynamic demonstrations of the CO-BRO® FLEX & GUARD. Another highlight was showcasing digital solutions such as the weldNet® Process Manager and the new TERRA NX 400 PMC DualFeeder.

Adding extra voltage to the event was our collaboration with Yaskawa, which showcased robotic welding in action. Two virtual reality stations offered an immersive insight into training possibilities, making learning as interactive as it was inspiring.

As we are tooring across Central Eastern Europe, its second stop at voestalpine High Performance Metals Hungary Kft. in Dunaharaszti proved to be an outstanding success.

With over 60 customers, partners, and welding professionals in attendance, the event delivered a comprehensive experience rooted in technical innovation, expert knowledge, and strategic collaboration.

Attendees explored welding technologies, including the next-generation of EMK Ultra wires, the CO-BRO® FLEX & GUARD collaborative robotic solutions, and the weldNet® Process Manager, which offers unprecedented digital monitoring and quality control.

The agenda featured in-depth technical discussions on health and safety practices and future-ready welding automation, as well as valuable insights from partners FMF and HIX. This showcased the strength of voestalpine’s local distributor network.
