Areas of application:

Our mechanical tubes are used in a wide range of applications, such as construction and fastening tubes for tunnel anchors, tubes for mechanical engineering or for slope stabilisation. We also develop customised solutions for demanding applications such as drill pipes for horizontal-directional-drilling (HDD).

At voestalpine Tubulars, continuous innovation means working closely with our customers. By focusing on their needs and requirements, we drive internal product development. Thanks to this continuous innovation, we are able to offer our customers the following product solutions:

  • Micropiles for foundations, soil nailing and anchorages
  • Umbrella systems for tunneling excavations
  • Drill pipes for horizontal-directional-drilling (HDD)
  • Micro and ground anchors
  • Tunnel anchors
  • Self-drilling anchors (SDA) and bolts

Mechanical and machining applications:

  • Various carbon and low alloy chromium-molybdenum steels in accordance with EN 10297-1
  • Hot rolled / heat treated / thermomechanically treated
  • Yield strength 210 to 1.050 N/mm2 –
    Tensile strength from 310 to 1.300 N/mm2
  • Outside diameter from 26.70 mm to 203.20 mm (1.050 inch to 8.000 inch) –
Wall thickness from 4.00 mm to 28.00 mm (0.157 inch to 1.102 inch)
