School is much more than sitting in a classroom and learning new material. Field trips allow students to experience the world firsthand and strengthen class unity. Visits to the voestalpine Stahlwelt are ideal in this respect because students take a close look at the company operations of a globally active steel and technology corporation.
The guided tours of the voestalpine Stahlwelt give students an opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of voestalpine. Tour guides provide important information about steel as a material, its production, processing and its wide range of applications.

We offer special elementary school tours for engineers of the future. We recommend the visits beginning at the 3rd grade level. Guides adapt their tours of the Stahlwelt and the production facilities to meet the specific needs of the age group and are sensitive to the individual interests of young visitors. You can include a works tour or merely a visit to the voestalpine Stahlwelt. The works tour is shortened to one hour for elementary school students because they are not permitted to visit some of the production facilities for safety reasons.

A chaperone is provided free of charge for every 10 students. The reduced rate applies to state-approved schools and vocational schools with the exception of adult education. In the case of integrated classes with an increased need for supervision, the number of accompanying persons can be increased by prior arrangement by telephone with the voestalpine Stahlwelt Visitor Service.
