1995 The Industrial Furnace Division was closed down due to economic reasons
1996 Opening of a Branch Office in Harare, this had to be closed in 2001 for general economic reasons in the country. SALES 1997: R59 MILLION p.a.
1998/02 Name change from Bohler Steel Africa to Bohler Uddeholm Africa
2000 Pinetown Branch purchases additional conventional heat treatment facilities from Hall & Pickles
2001/02 Acquisition of competitor Martensite Steel and establishment of Pretoria Branch
2001/08 Acquisition of Mitco Vereeniging – start of machining services and production of die sets

2002/09 Port Elizabeth Branch Office moves to new premises and salt bath heat treatment gets installed.

2018 Investment in a new E530 Saw, that increases our cutting speed by 4 times.

Rebrand of  Africa business to voestalpine High Performance Metals Africa Ltd, from Bohler Uddeholm Africa.  Established voestalpine Specialty Metals Africa Division for greater focus and support for our Oil & Gas sector customers.
