You can build on this: Decide in favour of a career as a mechanical engineer. You manufacture system components or systems and then assemble them. Maintenance and service work and the replacement of defective components are just as much a part of your job as the operation of computerised systems. If this appeals to you, we look forward to hearing from you!

Apprenticeship period: 3.5 years

As a process technician, you define work steps, resources and methods. You will set up production machines and systems and feed them with the required raw and auxiliary materials. You will also be responsible for monitoring product quality. Regular maintenance of the systems is also part of your area of responsibility. This might interest you? Then make short work of choosing your apprenticeship and apply now!

Apprenticeship period: 3 years

Do you like variety? Then we have a vacancy for you in the office. As an industrial clerk, you are – as the name suggests – responsible for numerous commercial tasks. From ordering and purchasing, sales and customer service, warehousing and logistics, finance and accounting to controlling, human resources and administration, you will do everything with us. As you can see, organisational talent is required here.

Apprenticeship period: 3.5 years

Does it warm your heart to think about carrying out mechanical, chemical and physical tests on steel, aluminium or plastic? As a materials technician, you test materials for their hardness, density or compressive strength. If you do additional training in the special heat treatment module, you will also learn how to improve their hardness using heat treatment techniques. We can warmly recommend this teaching to you. We look forward to seeing you!

Apprenticeship period: 3.5 years

Come to the career centre! After the two-year training in the basic metal technology module, decide to specialise in forging technology. You will work with metals using traditional tools such as hammers and anvils, but also with modern computer-controlled (CNC) machine tools. For example, you will produce drop-forged components for sectors with particularly high requirements, such as the aerospace industry. Do your apprenticeship with a blacksmith and not with a blacksmith and apply for a job at voestalpine.

Apprenticeship period: 3.5 years

In many companies, nothing works without plant and operating technicians. They install electrical components for production systems and machines. They are also responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. And that’s not all: you read and correct circuit diagrams, build prototypes of electrical systems and test them. Sounds appealing? Then we look forward to receiving your application documents!
