With our research activities, technologies and innovations related to greentec steel, we are making a significant long-term contribution to achieving the climate goals. In a first step towards green steel production, we are planning to reduce our CO₂ emissions by up to 30% by 2029 – that is almost 5% of Austria’s annual CO₂ emissions. greentec steel is thus the largest climate protection program in Austria.
