Think tank for more innovations: the voestalpine new business incubator
Since 2020, ideas have been actively and intensely cultivated in Linz. Innovative projects are growing and flourishing in the voestalpine Group Steel Division’s new business incubator (nbi), with some already having been successfully established in the company.
We are expanding in Poland
On June 12, voestalpine Rotec in Poland opened a new, approx. 4,000 m² large production hall. It will significantly enhance our Polish subsidiary’s capacity to effectively meet the evolving tubular component needs of our customers from the automotive as well as other industries. The new, fully automated state-of-the art production lines were designed and built by, and installed in close cooperation with, our German voestalpine Rotec Engineering Center in Annweiler.

Florian says of himself that he is not a professional runner. Nevertheless, he is fast, as he proved at this year’s Vienna City Marathon, among other events. There, he and his running colleagues took home the victory in the relay. He told us in an interview what sports also brings to his job in Global Supply Chain Management at the High Performance Metals Division.

The speed skating world championships once again offered our high-speed steel a widely recognized stage. Things heated up when BÖHLER steel and voestalpine Precision Strip’s bimetal strip demonstrated their world-class performance in Heerenveen, the Netherlands.
