The start of an apprenticeship marks an important milestone in the careers of many young people. It is the moment when they open the door to a world of opportunities and challenges.

With the start of the new training year, three new apprentices started at voestalpine Wire Austria GmbH in Bruck an der Mur in the following apprenticeships:
They are part of around 400 young professionals across Austria who are starting their apprenticeships at one of the 16 training sites in Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Styria. More than 180 new apprentices were welcomed at voestalpine's Styrian sites.
At voestalpine Wire Germany, we are also pleased to welcome four new apprentices to the team at the start of their training in 2023. The new Wire Technology apprentices chose the following apprenticeships:
Currently, 380 young professionals are being trained in Styria. There is a choice of around 30 apprenticeships in Austria, such as process and machining technology, electrical engineering, laboratory technology or mechatronics. The training centers within the voestalpine Group, offer young people a unique mix of sound training and the latest technologies. Future-oriented forms of learning such as work using virtual reality glasses or tablets are also used in digital modules. In addition to the extensive teaching of specialist knowledge, apprentices are also offered numerous opportunities for personal and social development, such as language trips, excursions, project days, health promotion in the workplace, and the annual Group Apprentice Day.
