This critical technique plays a key role in the maintenance of turnouts, particularly within high-traffic railway networks.
The training took place directly on-site at the track – intentionally held during nighttime hours to avoid disrupting regular daytime railway operations. This allowed a realistic training environment that mirrored the exact conditions typically encountered during nighttime maintenance work.
The program was led by experienced welding experts from the Railway Systems Academy and voestalpine Böhler Welding. Under the technical supervision of trainer Gerhard Peinhaupt, participants received in-depth instruction and hands-on guidance in advanced welding techniques. He was supported by Alexander Zlatnik, Hartwig Lankow, and Franz Rosenblattl. Participants were trained in the latest welding technology for railway infrastructure – all bringing deep technical expertise to the course.
The programme focused on modern repair techniques, safe use of specialized tools and materials, and meeting strict safety and quality standards. For participants, it wasn’t just high-level technical training — it was also a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experience with international professionals from across the industry.
Delivering the training on-site in the United Arab Emirates reflects our global commitment to making expert knowledge accessible where it’s needed most — tailored to local infrastructure and regional challenges.
