Recognized for Excellence: Railway Systems Academy Now ISO 21001 Certified

Learning worldwide, specialized locally, certified internationally – with ISO 21001, the Railway Systems Academy demonstrates its commitment to delivering trustworthy educational quality in the railway industry.

As of April 2025, the Railway Systems Academy is officially certified under ISO 21001. This international standard for educational organizations represents more than just a quality label: it stands for transparency, effectiveness, and reliability in knowledge transfer – for both our customers and training participants.

As part of voestalpine Railway Systems – the global leader in railway infrastructure solutions – we are committed to providing targeted, high-impact training in a technically innovative environment. To ensure our customers get the most out of our system solutions, we offer practice-oriented training programs for external railway professionals.

Our training portfolio covers a wide range of technical expertise – from in-depth product knowledge to fundamental topics in rail, turnout, signaling, and track construction. This enables railway professionals to apply railway-specific knowledge safely, efficiently, and effectively in their day-to-day work – with positive effects on operational safety, workflows, and long-term cost savings.

Certification provides clarity and direction: it confirms that our training programs are well-structured, based on expert knowledge. Additionally, it ensures that our programs are aligned with clearly defined learning objectives. Our training content is tailored to participant needs, with measurable outcomes and lasting impact. We ensure that knowledge is not only delivered – but understood, applied, and integrated into daily practice.

Our path to certification - intensive and future-oriented

This certification is the result of a multi-stage, carefully coordinated audit process. It began with a comprehensive internal audit, where we critically assessed our training systems, identified areas for improvement, and implemented targeted enhancements.

This was followed by an external audit by TÜV AUSTRIA. Over several days, both the central Railway Systems Academy and several campus locations were closely examined – from organizational structures and training processes to trainers, course content, feedback mechanisms, and continuous improvement practices.

And we’re not stopping here – because for us, quality is never finished.

This year’s certification was an important milestone, but it’s only the beginning. Our goal is to continuously raise the quality of our training – and to ensure consistently high standards across all international locations.

Because we believe that top-quality education means staying in motion – evolving with the needs of our customers, our training participants, and the future of railway infrastructure.
