Transition and Compromise Rails

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak provides transition rails to connect adjacent rails of the same section (but with different amounts of head wear), as well as compromise rails to connect adjacent rails of different sections (eliminating the need for compromise joints).

These rails can be manufactured to suit any rail section, new or worn, including special heat treated sections and provide a smooth, low maintenance joint. They are ideal for CWR installations.

When ordering transition or compromise rails please specify:

  • Hand
  • Length
  • Rail sections to be joined
  • Special rail treatments or markings
