Strategic investments, facility expansions, and key acquisitions have strengthened our manufacturing footprint and expanded our product portfolio to better serve customers across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
     

    Key Milestones

    • 1981: Nortrak Railway Supply Ltd. is founded in British Columbia, Canada, supplying new and used railroad track components
    • 1990: Nortrak becomes part of the voestalpine family, connecting North American operations with a global railway systems organization and opening the door to new technologies and international expertise.
    • 2004: The acquisitions of Meridian Rail Track Products and Rail Products & Fabrication significantly expand Nortrak's manufacturing capabilities, product offerings, and market presence across North America.
    • 2023-2024: The acquisitions of CXT's concrete tie assets and Unitrac Railroad Materials further strengthen Nortrak's ability to serve the North American rail industry with an expanded portfolio and manufacturing network.
